Piece of Dragon: A Fantasy Romance

(Haret Chronicles: Qilin #1)

The Ringmaster is coming… to steal me away. For years, my odd ability to manipulate others kept me one step ahead of the Underbelly Circus – a place nobody like me lives through.

Everything goes to hell when a gorgeous stranger dies right in front of me, resurrects himself as a dragon, and begs me to follow him straight into the Underbelly beast.

He claims I’m the lost Qilin Queen – a magical freaking unicorn.

I can smell the truth in his words, and he’s desperate. How can I help him, if he works for my greatest enemy?

The answer comes barreling into my world when his brothers-in-arms find me, too – lion shifter, mage, fae, merman, and vampire.

They’re all from a magical world beyond mine, and they need me to help them find the way home.

Only a pure Qilin can find the Path, and these six men think I’m the last one alive.

I’m Carlyle Licorne, and I’m no innocent unicorn.

1. Why did you decide to pick up this book–cover or content?

Content. I enjoyed the first book, and there’s a lot of questions I’m hoping to get answers to in this book.

2. Who is your favorite character so far, and why?

Soren in many ways, but I also enjoyed Theo’s ‘Shadows’ and I’m excited to see how things are changed among them after book one. Cress and Erik are wildcards right now, but I liked the danger and drama they added the the first, and I hope both get plenty of time for mischief in this book as well!

3. Will you finish this one?

I hope to. I haven’t read much yet, but I’m excited about this one, so I’m hoping it’s good!

4. This book reminds me of…

I said the first reminded me of The Winner’s Curse series, but I’m not sure if this one will as much or not. I’m also getting The Reader by Traci Chee vibes, but again that might change.

5. What type of read is this one? (Slow but interesting, cannot put it down…)

Again both? I seem to read a lot that have bursts of action, but also slow down during the planning, or when something goes terribly wrong while the characters plan some more and regroup.
